We got up nice and early and got our wetsuits from a store room at the centre. We got dressed and drove 30 minutes to a freezing river. We were all very nervous but we still went bravely. We went up the river doing challenges, such as climbing on rocks, walking to the other side of the river through the very strong current, walking in deep water and we even built a human dam. We even took a natural 'shower'. We didn't get too wet before lunch though.
After lunch we took a stroll to a bowl of water known as 'The Jacuzzi'. The 'victim' was dragged into the cold water underneath the heavy waterfall and the challenge was to stay under the waterfall as long as we could. After that we walked up to an eroded rock with a little cave underneath. First we crawled through the cave and then out through the hole. Then, we walked on a fallen tree trunk and did our best not to fall off. Then we came to the final activity of the day - jumping off a waterfall. We first had to climb across a ledge under the waterfall before jumping off on the other side - into the icy water. It was a task that was very much enjoyed and successfully completed by the whole class.
